Dandy in Love
According to Greek mythology, humans were originally created with four arms, four legs, and a head with two faces. Fearing their power, Zeus separated them into two distinct parts, condemning them to spend their lives searching for their other half.
The Dandy Lovers collection strives to reunite these two halves. This collection is also inspired by Plato's characterization of love. Plato defined love as a step-by-step process that begins with admiration of physical beauty and evolves towards admiration of spiritual beauty.
He believed that love is the driving force that pushes a person to deeply contemplate beauty. In his work "Symposium," Plato asserts that the love of wisdom is the greatest form of love. According to Plato, the highest form of love is the philosopher's love for truth, which is contained in the Forms.
This is known as Platonic love: a love that unites souls by connecting them to the truth.
